  • Summary

What if Shakespeare was a stoner, or Virginia Wolf went to Brasil for an aywasca ceremony? Maybe they did, but probably not. What we do know is that art is a great tool for integrating a psycadelic experience and thats what this Poetryclub is aaall about.

    Full description of yer concept

Whether you had a profound mystical experience, deep lessons and new insights, a harrowing night of gripping fear, or just a lot of releasing and purging, something powerful happened and your consciousness shifted in some way. You’ve experienced a break with your ordinary understanding of reality. And as a result you’re differnt. You’ve changed, but it is not always clear exactly how or, more importantly, what that change might mean to you life.

So. What now? You’ve gone on a consciousness world-tour or experienced eternity in a night, and now you’re expected to go back to the office on Monday and make small talk with co-workers? This can be very jarring to the psyche and sometimes results in quite a bit of emotional turbulence. Making your integration process a priority will help you to smooth your experience and integrate in a more conscious and intentional manner.

Like a wise man once told me ”Pilots gets most of their training in landing the plane, not flying it” and indeed it can be a challange to land after that emotional, spiritual flight you just had.
Integration is, like most things, a very infividual process that take many shapes. The Psycadelic Poetryclub wants to invite you to explore art as a tool.

Sit down, make a pretty drawing, make a ugly drawing, read poetry, make poetry, sing a song, create a colláge, chew on a pen, drink tea, tell a story or just mediate in this artsy-fartsy corner of the Borderland.

    About the crew / artist

I am a Chef, Writer and Gardener. My experience in writing mainly comes from 4 years of writing and illustrating for the Enviromental Magazine Effekt. On my freetime and during my studies I have created several stories, mainly for children, about food, enviroment and learning. This year I have integrated the methods presented in the book ”The artist way” and look forward to sharing this.

I am a part of the Sanctuary-camp and this is my second Borderland.

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? Most lights are powerd by (rechargeble) batteries, will use no or little electricity.

    • Will there be light? Light and fake-candles baby.

    • Will anything BURN? Paper burns, I guess. And so does a poets heart? I will use the fire-safety provided in the Sanctuary.

    • What is your audio footprint? Almost none, mainly talking during workshops. A ”shhhh!” might occur every now and then.
