A photo-magician with a mysterious LED stick that turns a night's darkness into the colorful borderland themed ligthpaint.
Choose your own LED photo pattern/picture! WARNING: *This will possibly the most beautiful portrait of your Burn!*
Absolutely borderlish creative photography upgrading tool - pixelstick*, empowering borderlings in exploring their most creative photo dreams!
ANYONE can easily take part in this project! A portrait with light painting as a background can be made in less than a minute!
OR, more specifically:
1) Getting those borderlings inspired!
First thing to do is showcasing what can be done together with the photo magician and the pixelstick. Borderling will be watching some pictures of what can be done using the pixelstick! (examples such as https://www.thekrumbleempire.com/light-painting )
Inspirational pics in the best case can be showcased on-site using a projector. That way attracting as many borderlings to join this interactive photography art workshop! Should the projector not be available, it can be also done using a laptop. Another way to do it is encouraging everyone in online realms to join this magical project.
2) Workshop space dream! (optional, yet very much preferred)
I have a vision of a space, where during the set time in WhatWhenWhere guide PixelMagician is ready for people to come in and make their pictures!
I haven't included this in the budget as this shouldn't take much space and could be easily hosted at another camp (I still have got to find one)
In an unlikely case of no camp sharing space for a laptop and a pixel stick, the PixelMagician will be a walking photo-maker encouraging people to take part in this little photo art project!
3) Choosing/MAKING your own pattern (optional step)
Did you know?? A unique own photo background can be generated! Using a laptop, (in that case some electricity and rain-safe space required) people can generate their own pattern to be born alive in the picture (simply converting an illustration http://www.thepixelstick.com/convert.php ). Then we import it to the stick and get on with the creation!
4) Exploring the setting, Getting into action!
Portrait is an immediate option that fits absolutely everyone in any background! But once the creative borderling's own photo dream awakens and takes shape in their mind - we find the best space and place for co-creating the best picture they ever dreamed of. Setting the tripod up, distantly pressing the shutter, moving the pixel stick at the right time.... WHOALA! Magic just has happened!
5) Look at those beauties!
After long hours of editing pictures, one day, A consensual shared photo album pops-up for borderlings to lure their eyes and souls... Can only imagine how cool it will look like...
The pixelstick really empowers both photographer and a creative model, encourages communication and collaboration, is an exciting creative experience with a resulf of unique photo-artwork.
*For those curious Borderlings asking how does the pixelstick magic it work?
Pixelstick may seem like magic, but it's actually pretty simple. Each one of pixelstick's 200 LEDs acts like a pixel on a screen, displaying your image one vertical line at a time as you walk. These vertical lines, when captured by a long exposure, combine to recreate your image in mid air, leaving pixelstick (and the person using it) invisible.
An open hearted creative soul
