Where do lost dreams end up drifting in the edge of our imagination? In the dream catchers' nest. A tent and art piece in one, made out of truckloads of dreamcatchers. Join a workshop to craft your own dreamcatcher, or leave a lost dream of yours here.
Imagine a tent fully covered in all kinds of unique dreamcatchers. Dreamcatchers on the outside and inside.....
Nets to capture lost dreams in small size to huge. Round shaped, triangle, oval or like the moon. Red, black, furry, glittery, wooden or heavy metal ... Whatever you can dream of.
I want to create a dreamcatcher nest that feels like something straight out of a fairy-tale. The nest will be full of dreamcatchers, cosy, fluffy interior. A perfect space for trapping dreams…..and hippies.
It will be a place for chilling, cuddling, creative workshops, and other dreamy activities. Of course, I'll run a dreamcatcher workshop there too.
The nest will be active in different ways during the days. When no specific workshops are going on, we invite you to write down your lost dreams and feed them to the nest itself. Your dreams can then transform just the way they need to be.
I will create most of the dreamcatchers before Borderland myself, and through meetups where people build dreamcatchers to contribute to the nest. These co-creators will be able to pick up their art pieces in the end of Borderland.
(I already know multiple people who are very excited about helping out and creating dreamcatchers with me.)
Interested to collaborate? Get in touch to host your event in The dreamcatcher nest, or join one of the meetups in Copenhagen.
The nest will be used for :
An art piece
Co-creative workshop space
Let go of your lost dreams
A lot of things can be used to make dreamcathcers. A part of my dream is to explore the wide variety of how dreamcatchers can be made and look. So, I want to buy and collect lots of different materials to make this art piece as dreamy as it can be. I will do my best to find 2hand things to use, but I know that with this many dream catchers to make - covering a whole tent - I might need to buy stuff.
I've been making dream catchers since i was very young and i love to be creative -I'am all over the place with dreams, interests and creativity, and i want to share!
Moop bags, for sorting and leaving no trace.
The dreamcatcher collaborator-creators will find their way back to the nest and collect the dreamcatchers they created and contributed with for the use of this dream. And materials I'll store and re-use - most likely for future burns and dreams.
The rest of the dreamcatchers ..... I'm not , sure yet.... taking them home and come up with a cool way to share them with people - Maybe giving them to people on their way home from Borderland. Or to people who simply love dreamcatchers
