Borderlings small and tall are invited to roll their bodies on pipes for sheer pleasure.
We will build a durable long rolling pipes slide! Constructed upon the mountainside, to give you your daily rush and need for quick ultra fix of fun.
We will build a strong rolling pipe slide with wood, tubes, metal bars and screws - materials that can endure the danish weather.
The slide will be decorated with gliding-through-shapes and forms, rainbows, curtains and windblown tissues to make the ride even more fun and beautiful to look at in the Borderland landscape. Also, at specific times, grass skirts dancers with cooling mist nozzles will make your ride even more exquisite.
Come and get your own very special ride!
We wish to install the slide at the slope that starts in Kidsville (if Kidsville is located at the same place as last year) - therefore it might be possible that we will need to ask for permission at the Hedeland Park board. We do NOT wish to use the ski field, but the gentle sloping side at BL - before and away from the train tracks.
We wish to install the slide as a durable art piece immersed within the Hedeland landscape. If founded and given permission, the slide (not the degradable decorations, they will of course be removed and mooped) but the slide itself could remain on the hill and as such be integrated in park Hedeland to be enjoyed by visitors young and old year round.
The slide will not be dangerously steep but will be constructed to suit children from 3 years old and of course all playful adults. The heavier the faster you will go. Maximum weight limit is 100 kg.
The slide will be elevated approximately 20 cm from ground level so grass or weeds do not have to be removed - bushes larger than 20 cm will be avoided.
We expect a minimum length of 8 meters sliding - but preferably much longer! Our budget is set to 8 meters but if we get more we will go for more!! Ideally, a slide of 15 meters would be awesome and beautiful.
Some of us are artists, some of us are builders - we have realized many art projects that involved design, technics, software, music and build. We are gathering our know-how to realize this project in the most safe, durable and artistic way possible.
Ohana is a camp located within Kidsville of the Borderland. We are a crew of dedicated borderland parents that will create two playgrounds; one all inclusive (+3 years) where both adults and kids together (or alone) can enjoy child friendly activities - on the kids' premises. The other playground will be an adults-only playground, with workshops and sensual treats happening at our large kids-free Tipi.
The rolling pipes slide will be located somewhere near Camp Ohana or somewhere in the Kidsville village - up to the hill.
The slide will generate minimal moop, will be mooped regularly and a lost and found basket will be provided at the end of the ride.

Hey friend! Welcome to the virtual drawing board of The Borderland. This is the place where we prototype the projects we'll realise during the week in the quarry.
