Platform and Guided sessions: Croquis & Collaborative Arts

Camp Croquis

  • 134

  • Summary

We want to create a stage and platform for croquis and collaborative arts, and bring all the material needed for painting the sacred human body: exactly the way it looks. The stage will be open, lighted at night, a bit secret, sufficient and practical.

    Full description of yer concept

We will hold guided croquis sessions every day with different themes: ‘classic croquis’, 'jazz croquis', 'spiritual croquis' or 'performance croquis'. We will model if you like. And if you want to model: you are welcome to.

At all other times, we want to invite anyone to hold their own collaborative arts session, whenever wished for. We will open up and announce for artistic souls to book a time spot as soon as we get our dream accepted.

Even though painting croquis is about drawing only the visible, this dream is to honor more than what we can see. As, we know that all our inner life and intimacy of soul longs to find an outer mirror. It longs for a form in which we can be seen, felt and touched. And, we do believe that our bodies are mirrors where the sacred world of the soul comes to expression.

    About the crew / artist

The idea was born from us being a camp where several individuals doing croquis within our education, profession and sparetime courses. Last year, we held one guided session each day at 3 pm and we had really a lot of borderlings coming that appreciated our workshops. Also, several borderlings that wanted to use our stage for sessions and that is why we would love to extend the concept this year.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

Most of the MOOP produced by this dream will be in the form of paper, along with some crayon/charcoal stumps and possibly some packaging (though we should strive to remove all unnecessary packaging prior to the event).

Any acrylic paintings that we don't want to keep cannot be recycled and will have to go in combustibles. The paints themselves are "dangerous waste" and will have to be brought to a proper recycling station. Our MOOP-lead will take care of those. We do believe crayons can be melted and turned into candles? Something to think about!

We will place out some 3-4 extra bins from our camp just by the croquis section. We do want the bins to be as eco-friendly as possible and also to look good and blend into the camp (ergo not just plastic bags).
