  • Summary

Borderland's Queerest Qloset is back again! the Qloset is here to help Borderlings channel all the queer energies and radiant looks they need to challenge norms and celebrate queerness in all its manifestations at this year's Borderland.

    Full description of yer concept

When you’re walking around Borderland and feel that there’s something missing. That extra queer edge to life, the burning desire to express an inner fallen angel covered in glitter. When the mundanity of everything feels just a little bit too present.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET knows what you’re feeling.

In here we’re talking Daphne Guinness, Grace Jones, Lady Gaga and Mykki Blanco. Or what about Prince, Stevie Nicks and Cher. The QQQ Styling Sluts will help you find your own Disco Heat, your kinky subconscious and the Freddie Mercury you’ve always dreamt of. Welcome out of the Qloset.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET only has one motto: TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH.

We we’re born outside of the Qloset. And we have no intention of ever going back.

The QLOSET is filled to the brim with garments, fabrics, glitters and wonders. Burrow, exchange, take. Make something completely new out of the materials we offer, recreate something of your own, and take the queer takeover to the next level. We’re here to make you queer.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET is a part of the QQQ QUEER QASTLE, the center of all the queer happenings at Borderland. We are the Vergil to your queer inferno, and if you’re really lucky you might find your own inner Satan, dressed in lace, lashes and a sinful light.

The QLOSET is the styling station of your wet dreams. We will have creations to try on, and all the possibilities to create your own or recreate what you already have on. Kimonos, hats, tights, tops, or something no one has ever heard about. Outside of the Qloset, there’s no limitations, no boundaries, and no norms. Surrounded by the QQQ Queer Qrew, you will finally be baptized in hedonistic shimmer.

The offered garments and wonders are all bought second hand. Consumerist society has nothing to do with the queer revolution.

Once again: welcome out of the Qloset.

    About the crew / artist

We're members of the QQQ - the Queer Qlux Qlan - and we're here to guide you OUT of the Qloset looking queerer than you've ever done before! Two of us joined Borderland for the first time last year, and Elisabet joins us for her very first burn this year. we look forward to growing last year's Qloset and making the Queer Qloset a true irreverent queer institution at Borderland.

The Queer Qlux Qlan is the Borderland camp where we celebrate and explore queerness in all its manifestations: political, sexual, social, religious, relational and gender-wise. The group is a mixed combination of dreamers, including both burning veterans and newer recruits. We’re here to make you queer!

Moop plan (matter out of place)

Pieces will be vetted to ensure minimal risk of tiny pieces falling off - so minimal use of say feathery, sequinned or similar pieces. The Qloset actively contributes to lessening conspicuous consumption connected to Borderland as it provides a luscious inventory of fabulous clothing for all to share - and it's all sourced from second-hand shops.

Description Min amount (DKK) Max amount (DKK)
Transport - added cost of slightly larger vehicle in order to transport the Qloset to Borderland (does not cover individual attendee's travel costs) 1000
Space decoration (mirror, led curtains/lights etc) 1000
Sewing machine incl needles, thread etc 500
Clothes (all from second-hand sources) 8500
How can other Borderlings co-create with you?

Anyone is welcome to contribute pieces to the Qloset before and during the festival - with the sewing machine, Borderlings will be able to expand/develop/create new pieces from existing ones.
