    Full description of yer concept

We all carry secrets. Some are big and dark, others are small white lies. Secrets are often created by shame and fear. The things we do not reveal separate us, as they increase the feeling of not being able to show ourselves fully. But if we lower the guard and ease the burden we might be relieved of some of the fears, and come closer to each other.

During a confession session, ten participants gather to tell each other a secret out loud, anonymously, in a non-judgmental environment. The participants are masked or blindfolded after a mysterious ritual, and talk in a microphone with voice distortion, so everyone in the tent hear what they say, but not who they are.

Possibly there will be different themes during different sessions, with more specific subjects for the confessions. There might also be sessions that are not anonymous, but more like "radical honesty".

The point is to let people be spiritually naked, uncover themselves and feel liberation in it. Perhaps you feel less lonely after hearing the stories of others. Perhaps the secret was not as horrible as you thought before saying it out loud, and you walk away realizing you are good just as you are. Or, your confession becomes the start of personal change.

    About the crew / artist

We are a crew of thirty people, with the ambition to create a place for spiritual nudity. Our camp will host three main dreams - a croquis stage, the bar of Requirement, and the Confession session tent. The idea is to use both the open croquis stage and the more intimate confession lounge as platforms where people are welcome to co-create with us.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

We will remove all the material and search the ground for things left behind. The tent and fabrics will be stored until next year. There will be no trash.

    What is this?

Hey friend! Welcome to the virtual drawing board of The Borderland. This is the place where we prototype the projects we'll realise during the week in the quarry.

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? Yes. Laptop, speakers, distorter, lights = 300-400W.

    • Will there be light? Yes! With light chains.

    • Will anything BURN? No.

    • What is your audio footprint? It will be quiet. People outside the tent are not meant to hear the secrets. Maybe low volume music.
