  • Summary

A makeshift electric utility/art cart capable of transporting some cargo or 1-2 persons to slightly reduce the amount of manual labor required during build and to have some fun during the week.

    Full description of yer concept

The idea is to create a mobile EPAL pallet which can move itself across 2D-ish areas of The Borderland controlled by a driver sitting/standing on it or walking besides. It will be possible to use it just as a mean of transportation for stuff and people, but that's not all. In addition, it will allow to move with reduced amounts of sweat all sorts of things, such as sound system, small light installation, or maybe a smoke machine - who knows what kind of ideas come to people's minds!
The design is very rough and minimalist yet functional, and reflects unique style of WCH Engineering Laboratories. Just like the Mars Rover, but for Borderland.
Currently the project is in stage of initial prototyping.
I will bring everything but the pallet itself and do the final assembly in the quarry.

    About the crew / artist

I develop electronics for food and build light installations for fun.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

Pallet will be recycled or scraped, depending on it's final condition. Motors & electronics will be a part of other similar projects.

Description Min amount (DKK) Max amount (DKK)
    Small hardware 300
    Lights 300
Steel raw material (sheet, square tubing) 300
    Battery 2000
    Motorwheels and electronics 1800
How can other Borderlings co-create with you?

People can co-create with the BorderRover by making their dreams more mobile for a while. You can come with ideas what could be put on the cart - a bathtub or a DJ booth?
You can also help me with the build and spare parts (maybe there is a dusty hoverboard in your shed?).

    What is this?

Hey friend! Welcome to the virtual drawing board of The Borderland. This is the place where we prototype the projects we'll realise during the week in the quarry.

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? Ocassionally to recharge batteries, few hundred watts for a few hours a day.

    • Will there be light? The cart will be equipped with animated LED lights, or will serve as a mobile platform for a light installation.

    • Will anything BURN? Battery and electronics will be properly protected to avoid catching on fire.

    • What is your audio footprint? The cart itself makes only a quiet noise. Unless someone will take a sound system for a ride.
