    Full description of yer concept

Working Class Heroes is a meta camp (BL's DPW equivalent) whose main function is to provide assistance to theme camps and artists that get stuck in their builds. We offer both a mobile art car workshop built from an mutant lawnmower and a trailer as well as a static workshop container providing tools and efficient work space. The mobile workshop will move around the quarry and seek out people or projects in need of a helping hand, hammer or angle grinder. We also provide a fire truck for the Sat burn.

The container is customized to be extendable into a 96 m2 rain metal shelter under which work benches are placed. Light, power, and basic tools are provided. More advanced tools (when available) can be borrowed with permission and after instruction. We will also build several separate installations but these are separate dreams like "Center of the Cyclone", "Rendezvous" and "The Shower".

How can other Borderlings co-create with you?

The way to get involved is to either join the camp (not for the faint of heart) or stop by for a cup of tea.

    What is this?

Hey friend! Welcome to the virtual drawing board of The Borderland. This is the place where we prototype the projects we'll realise during the week in the quarry.

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? We need power. Lots of it. Muchisísimo! (our own 32 A dedicated cable straight from the Pyramid or The Port)

    • Will there be light? Somewhat, yes. LED's and possibly also gas powered fire installations.

    • Will anything BURN? We need to consider electrical safety when building our workspaces as well as the safe and proper handling of our dangerous array of tools and machines. We also operate heavy equipment such as trucks. We won't lend out equipment to people incapable of handling them competently and with sufficient respect. We all use suitable protective gear (eyes, ears and limbs) when applicable.

    • What is your audio footprint? We're noisy bunch with lots of angle grinder action planned. Chrystal screams like a Harley Davidson giving birth to an ATV.
