  • Summary

You're hungry and with no energy for cooking? Come to our kitchen, running on gifted ingredients offering delicious meals at least once per day, served in a dadaistic diner. A dry seat and a hot meal from creative cooking for all borderlings.

    Full description of yer concept

We’ll be building a diner with a cozy atmosphere, a 1920’s vibe and a dadaistic touch, 4x4 meters with a see through roof lit up by light installations. Next to the diner we’ll have a kitchen to prepare meals from the ingredients brought by hungry, but not so eager to cook, Borderlings. The kitchen will consist of a gas fire wok and a charcoal barbeque and we will also bring base ingredients such as spices and oils. We will of course also build structures for handling wash up and trash and create solid routines. At least once a day we will be cooking delicious and creative meals for anyone who wants to be a guest at our diner. There might also be some dadistic poetry served to our guests while waiting for their supper.

    About the crew / artist

A group of warmhearted free spirits with a profound passion for cooking.

How can other Borderlings co-create with you?

Everyone who wants to bring their leftovers are very welcome!
We could definitly co-create with the "Leave no food behind"-dream.

    What is this?

Hey friend! Welcome to the virtual drawing board of The Borderland. This is the place where we prototype the projects we'll realise during the week in the quarry.

    Dream crew

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? 500

    • Will there be light? The diner will be nicely lit up with light strips and light installations.

    • Will anything BURN? We'll have a barbecue and a gas burner for cooking. We'll have a fire extinguisher at hand at all times.

    • What is your audio footprint? A dadaistic babbling will probably be heard from the diner at times, as well as perhaps some nice 20’s jazz.
