Spiders love nest

Frederik Pors Jakobsen

Enter the spiders net and lovenest by walking across the slackline, or use the ropes to climb up to it from the bottom of the crater. Here you can hang out, chill, make love, expand the nest or net with ropes... what ever you would love to do.

Full description of concept

The spiders love nest, is a web of ropes expanded over a crater (big hole in the ground). in the middle of the net there is a nest, and underneath there will be different levels of webs of rope so you can climb up the structure from the bottom, or be in different levels. The main idea is to create a climbable cozy place for people to hang out in a playful way. I imagine that it could be modified during the festival by cocreators who would like to expand the web, or build nests, ad hammocks fx. plus cocreators could also use colored textiles to create patterns and soft areas, all in colors which would be uv- illuminated during night. The web will be suspended between metal pegs drilled into the rock or soil, dimensioned for a maximum carry load.
Furthermore the spiders love nest will be a sex positive space.

Team and plan

TBA :-)

Moop plan (matter out of place)

the nest will be suspended over a crater, the hole crater will be MOOP'ed after teardown. The spiders love nest will itself be stored for next year where it will be put up again.

How can other borderlings cocreate with you?

jump onboard in the dream, being cocreative in the design face, finding materials, building, playing, let's cocreate this!

What is this?

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.

  • Do you need electricity from the grid? yep 300 watts

  • Will there be light? yes, uv-light will illuminate the spider web structure leading to the nest + 2 or 3 rgb projectors, and maybe candles

  • Will anything burn? maybe candle lights

  • What is your audio footprint? maybe with audio, but not sure yet.

  • Forces of nature Gravity on the structure, from people climbing is the biggest force the structure will meet from nature, concearning rain, I will imagine that the spiders neet and nest will be made from rope, which will not get soaked.

  • Next random dream
