    Full description of the concept

Sensory exploration in a guided audiovisual space.
Bodyland is a somatic exploration space for everyone that loves to dance and play and move and touch.
Centred around the practice of Contact Improvisation, we create a space for emotional and physical exploration and embodied awareness through CI and ecstatic dance, as well as bodywork, massage and somatic practises like Feldenkrais, and BMC.

Our camp is focused on living and practising contact improvisation, a specific but open discipline based on touch and the physicality of dance.

We offer morning practices as well as workshops and labs throughout the day, contact improvisation jams and open space for movement research and bodywork.

Evenings will vary between improvisation-based events like jams or open improvisatory spaces and electronic music in an inspiring audiovisual sett.

The main space of the camp will have a floor suited for dance and body-work, a modest sound-system and a roof to keep everyone warm and dry and cozy :)

In addition to workshops, labs, DJ sets and mini-concerts offered by the inhabitants of bodyland, we are happy to offer the space and the stage to other borderlines to teach a class or play a set. :)

We are doing our best to source all technical equipment from the community but may need to rent (or buy secondhand) a simple projector and a few cables for evening performances. We need to transport sound equipment as well as flooring and tent for our 70-100m2 workshop space. Anything remaining after the 2018 event will be given back to the community, used throughout the year in community-based places - such as the Lighthouse - and/or kept for use on Borderland 2019 :)
