  • Summary

You know when your extravagant mind is locked in by a really boring normativity, and you feel like a basic bitch? Or when you’re at a festival and forgot your glittering kimono? Don’t worry. The QQQ Styling Sluts are here to guide you out of the Qloset.

    Full description of the concept

When your walking around Borderland and feel that there’s something missing. That extra queer edge to life, the burning desire to express an inner fallen angel covered in glitter. When the mundanity of everything feels just a little bit too present.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET knows what you’re feeling.

In here we’re talking Daphne Guinness, Grace Jones, Lady Gaga and Mykki Blanco. Or what about Prince, Stevie Nicks and Cher. The QQQ Styling Sluts will help you find your own Disco Heat, your kinky subconscious and the Freddie Mercury you’ve always dreamt of. Welcome out of the Qloset.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET only has one motto: TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH.

We we’re born outside of the Qloset. And we have no intention of ever going back.

The QLOSET is filled to the brim with garments, fabrics, glitters and wonders. Burrow, exchange, take. Make something completely new out of the materials we offer, recreate something of your own, and take the queer takeover to the next level. We’re here to make you queer.

The QQQ QUEER QLOSET is a part of the QQQ QUEER QASTLE, the center of all the queer happenings at Borderland. We are the Vergil to your queer inferno, and if you’re really lucky you might find your own inner Satan, dressed in lace, lashes and a sinful light.

The QLOSET is the styling station of your wet dreams. The QQQ Styling Sluts will be stationed here at certain times of the days to queer you up. We will have creations to try on and remake, and all the possibilities to create your own or recreate what you already have on.. Kimonos, hats, tights, tops, or something no one has ever heard about. Outside of the Qloset, there’s no limitations, no boundaries, and no norms. Surrounded by the QQQ Queer Qrew, you will finally be baptized in hedonistic shimmer.

In the QLOSET, you will find the queen bitch of the styling sluts, a professional designer and textile artist who will guide the uncertain towards queer enlightenment. The QLOSET is a workshop, a pimping station and a queer makeover. The garments, textiles and wonders will be put to use to make Borderland a queer wonderland. There will be sewing machines, headpieces and safe guidance to make anything you want. The focus is on creation and recreation. Don't be scared. The world is better outside of the qloset.

The offered garments and wonders are all bought second hand and/or made in the QLOSET. Consumerist society has nothing to do with the queer revolution.

Once again: welcome out of the Qloset.

    About the group/Artist

The Queer Qlux Qlan is the Borderland camp where we celebrate and explore queerness in all its manifestations: political, sexual, social, religious and gender-wise. The group is a mixed combination of dreamers, including both burning veterans and newer recruits. We’re here to make you queer!

The queen bitch of the styling sluts, Amandah Andersson, is a professional designer and textile artist who will be the guide to make your queer creations come true. She is experienced with workshops and open events and will see to it so that everything is done beautifully and queerly.

How can other burners co-create with you?

Come and make everything and everyone sinfully queer with us! The QQQ Styling Sluts will be the guides, and you will be the material.

The costumes are the concept. The QQQ QUEER QLOSET will offer garments and outfits, and material to make completely new creations, or to recreate old ones (either the ones in the QLOSET or the ones on your body). There will be stylists to help out, and the concept is built on co-creation, where we help each other out to make everyone beautifully queer. Note that the budget is based on materials that will be offered to anyone visiting the QLOSET, and that feels the need to go queer. This is not a private wardrobe for the QQQ camp, but a workshop space with guides and equipment for the Borderland community.

    What is this?

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? How much in Watts? We will use electricity for a sewing machine, etc. Nothing as dramatic as the results.

    • Will there be light? The QUEER QLOSET is stationed in the QQQ QUEER QASTLE, so there will obviously be blinking lights and sexy music. If you feel uncomfortable with it, you probably just haven't come out of the Qloset yet.

    • Safety implications Don't worry. The only thing that might be damaged are the norms.
