Do you also sometimes feel that you had that great experience and want to tell someone but words are not enough? Well we want to create a bar, specifically a japanese izakaya where you can recreate that magical moment again and share it with others.
We want to go really minimalist. A bar where a bunch of people can sit together to drink, talk and recreate. One entrance that is not a gate but a symbolic statue that welcomes you with an original Japanese nendo. A room that you take your shoes off to enter. Comfortable pillows around a 20-25 cm bar. Surrounded by small fabrics that have been painted by all of us to feel at home, they are not walls to separate but rather more like a tool that creates acoustic. A place that you can always find finest Japanese Whisky. A place that you can tell your wildest stories with music, lights, pictures and whatever medium that your imagination allows.
We want to bring a turntable and some rare vinyls for our guests to listen to. Once a day, we want to serve our finest whisky and listen to those LPs, but we want to listen to them as it is the first and the last time that we will hear. So, we will modify our turntable to play and destroy the vinyls simultaneously. But hey, this is only one experience we want to recreate. Bring yours, let's build it together and share with everybody who would like to hear.
As some days when our guests get tipsy we would like to serve them some japanese cuisine. With special spices that we bring from the darkest alleys of Tokyo.
We are making a list of items that we thought we will need to recreate and trying to figure out who have what.
We won't have anything our of ordinary. We will bring back everything that we brought.
We want this place to be a platform where everybody let us experience of their magical moment that they want to share. So just join us and tell your story. Please don't hesitate to bring your music to burn.
Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
