  • Summary

Hey, you, why not Take The Tour? The TransUniversal Tours Agency provides eye-opening, absurdist, quasi-thematical, imaginatively factual and sometimes actually informative tours of The Borderland, complete with guide and matching hats!

    Full description of concept

Take The Tour! The TransUniversal Tours Agency (TUTA) provides guided tours of The Borderland. The aim of this project is to help people explore all the different areas of the quarry, and thus aid in battling the ever-present and ever-dreaded Oh-no-I-missed-that-ery. The tours will make you familiar with the many unknown facts and histories of the different locales that make up The Borderland. They will do so using dis- and/or -informative narration, props, helpful signs and The Unending Joy of Exploration. Sign up at the Tour Desk and bring comfy shoes!

    About the group/Artist

Organised by the Boesdal Explorers' Society but open to all co-creators! The Explorers' Society is a group dedicated to furthering exploration, curiosity and wonderment in all their forms - including through guided tours!

    Team and plan

The main team that will ensure the Dream is actually dreamt is The Boesdal Explorers' Society, but it's more than open to all co-creators!

The tours will be planned ahead to a certain extent, researching different camps and thinking up different possible thematic tours. Necessary props and costumes will be prepared beforehand and brought to the event. A Tour Desk will be built beforehand, disassembled, and assembled on site.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

Should not create MOOP, but tour guides will make extra sure not to let the tours leave any traces as they ramble along. Tour Desk will be disassembled and brought out.

    Budget overview

No funding is necessary to simply provide the tours. In order to make them more spectacular, physical things are needed which cost money in terms of materials and transportation.

    Stretch goals:
0 DKK: The TransUniversal Tours Agency comes to The Borderland!
1-400 DKK: Material for props such as fabric for funny vests and hats, materials and paint for signs, etc.
401-800 DKK: The Tour Ageny builds and sets up an amazing Tour Desk. Costs consist of building materials and (part of) expected transportation costs.
801-1200 DKK: The Tour Agency expands to include a more extravagant Tour Desk and more different Theme Tours. Costs are purchase of materials and (part of) transportation.

How can other borderlings cocreate with you?

Be a tour guide! Or be a member of a tour - and why not hijack it?

    What is this?

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
