  • Summary

Hippies sucks at planning. For instance, they tend to forget that they need signs for people to find out where and when their stuff is. We'll bring sign poles and gorgeous, sustainable signs and paint for decorating them, free for all to go crazy with.

    Full description of concept

The plan is to provide a sign making station for anyone to use, with signs in all sizes and shapes and colorful paint. We will also provide some sign posts to be placed on strategic spots where people can add their signs, to make it easier to find the way around on the festival.

    About the group/Artist

The group consists of members of the re-connect camp. The sign station will problably be in or next to the camp.

    Team and plan

We allready have some of the stuff we need stored in the container in Boesdal - like sign poles. We will also get as much of the materials as possible from a recycle station - which is both free and sort of sustainable. The main effort will go into cutting out, decorating and niceifying the signs.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

Last year we burned the spare materials and stored the rest in the container. Ideally the same will be possible this year. If not we have a huge car with extra space, so we can bring the wood back to the recycle station.

    Budget overview

    Paint: 400 DKK
    Laser cutting plates: 150 DKK
    Nails: 50 DKK

How can other borderlings cocreate with you?

They can be a part of making Borderland a space that is easier to navigate by painting a sign!

    What is this?

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.

    • Do you need electricity from the grid? Nopes

    • Will there be light? Ideally! We will give it some thought.

    • Will anything burn? We wil probably sacrifice any leftover signs to the Big Burn the last night. And maybe some sign poles.

    • What is your audio footprint? none

    • Forces of nature We used stones to keep the sign poles in place last year, it worked like a charm.
