I have a dream, it’s about colors, COLORS EVERYWHERE! I want to build a space where you can paint yourself, your things, someone elses’ things, your life, your friends and our souls!
The basic idea is a pavilion(tent) filled with paint for EVERYONE to use. There will mainly be akrylic paint and facepaint, but maybe even spray paint and some organic ecofriendly paint. There will aslo be a shrine where you can pay your respects to and get your blessings from the godess of color.
PP: Paint the Pavilion! During the week I hope that the pavilion will evolve to be our largest and most shared canvas since everone is invited to paint it together.
But the sky is the limit, right? Lets get the funding to make the throne for the color godess spectacular and make this space the center of the colorverse with workshops and playshops and participation of the colormessheart :)
As an art teacher I love to make areas where everyone feel welcome to create, no matter if you are a beginner, old, young or professional artist! With me you also get the members from TDC, The dying camp, who are a magic mixture of sweet and funny creatures. http://wiki.theborderland.se/The_Dying_Camp
Myself, Kim Stegmayr, and other members from The dying camp. Based in Stockholm, the plan is to purchase stuff and plan details in june and arrive to boesdal at 21/22 of july to set everything up in good time.
Most of the material will be reusable. Gray water (no, COLORFUL WATER!) will be emptied at the public sewer at the port. The rest of the moop will be brought back home. Anyone who wants to keep their paintings are responsible of bringing that particular artwork back from Borderland.
Necessary stuff in SEK:
Pavilion and setting 2560
Paint and other material 960
Would be even more awesome:
More color and material 700
Solar cell lights 250
Textile for aprons 300
Cloths for cleaning (old sheets)
Emplty tin cans
Do you need to borrow some paint? You want to make a sign? Wanna pimp your cup? Have a piece of clothing that you really wanna dip in paint? This can be the place for you! Indulge yourself with color!
Start a workshop with, or without me. Kroki, making signs, painting, drawing etc. I also see possibilities for ceremonies and sessions to worship our godess of color.
Be a colorguide: If you feel that painting is something you really know, you are welcome to hang around and show all newbies of paint how stuff works.
Donate your leftover colors and old brushes, pencils and more painting materials.
Transport: We might need help with transporting the material from stockholm to Boesdal and back.
If you want to help out or have ideas you are most welcome to get in touch with me, 0737062537, firstname.lastname@example.org, or find me on fb.
Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
