  • Summary

Imagine stepping into a magical rainforest plant - suddenly finding your self in a mystical breathing crystal cave – in a room filled with a spectrum of love vibrations, exotic sounds and ice cold mojitos.

    Full description of concept

There is something special about rainforests, it’s depth, it’s inhabitants and it’s sounds. We have a dream about creating a rainforest plant - a living magical organism that you could enter, get lost in and be apart of. We imagine the inside of the plant to be a breathing crystal cave, full of sparkling crystals, where you could actually feel that you are inside an organism that is alive, where the walls are breathing and speaking to you in it’s own loving mystical rainforest language.

This is a place place for dreaming, contemplating and relaxation, a place for re-connecting with nature and with your self.

The foundation of the cave is a caravan that we will cover in plants. We will work with light diodes, air moistering, fluorescent colours, uv-light and a smooth surrounding sounds in the cave to create the ultimate warm and realaxing area for any borderling willing to enter. The fridge will be filled with fresh rainforest mojitos for your delight.

The members of the dying camp have a couple of special features that will be hosted in the cave such as a special Tibetan sound healing sessions with Tibetan Singing Bowls With Binaural Beats designed by Martin Sjölander that is an sound artist. As well as healing with Reiki, Angelic Reiki and Shamballa multidimensional healing and more things will probably add on during the next couple of weeks.

We aim to use recycled materials and second hand stuff as much as possible in order to build the Cave and hopefully it will serve on many burns yet to come.

    About the group/Artist

Sebastian Garhammer had this dream and naturally choose to co-create it with his camp, ”The Dying Camp” that are a bunch of totally amazing dying creatures consisting of creators, artists, musicians, performers, sound engineers, healers, magicians, unicorns, fairies among others. All of them have been to previous Burns and to Borderland.

    Team and plan

A team of 5-10 people – will build most of the stuff in Stockholm in June, constructing and planting, please join for nice days at Årstaviken where the caravan will be located!

We will arrive two days earlier to the Boesdal to start decorating, hopefully the other dreams from our camp will also come true, linking the rainbow arch together with the painting station would complete our vision of the dying camp. We are also planiing on a additional day mostly to help with the other dreams from the dying camp.

Moop plan (matter out of place)

We see ourselves as guardians of nature so naturally we will look to it that everything is mooped properly and with love, the only thing that will be waste from the cave are the cups from the drinks and we will have some garbage bags in place for them and will also remind people to take their trash with them.

How can other borderlings cocreate with you?

Anyone can come and co-reate with us! We are especially looking for an engineer or someone that can help us with the breathing mechanism of the cave that we are still working on to solve. We also need help building, constructing and decorating, that is if you are in Stockholm this summer since most of the job will be made there. If you have anything we can borrow. Wood, tools or decor, let us know!

    What is this?

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
