  • Summary

Step inside, child. Take a deep breath.

Now look at the mirror. Look at your reflection. Look at who you really are, both the beautiful and the ugly. Face your demons, child. Welcome, to the Bias Sphere…

    Full description of concept

The Bias Sphere is a small tent, which allows you to test, and confront your biases on a number of different subjects.
You can then take the test a different day, to test if your bias is the same when you’ve had alcohol, or coffee, or even chocolate.
Maybe it turns out, you shouldn’t be in a hiring comity, if you’ve just gulped a big Starbuks latte? Maybe chocolate really does make you a better person? Maybe you are not a free spirited as you think?
I found this research project, which allows you to test, and confront your biases on a number of different subjects.

    About the group/Artist

So far, it’s just me on this project. This will be my 4th Borderland, and my 5th big burn. I work with behavioral change, and have recently been smitten with biases. I wanted to create a magic mirror, who showed you the truth you might not want to see. And allowed you to explore it.

    Team and plan

To be honest, this is a low scale project. I want to realise it, but also know that work has a tendency to stand in the way of the creative projects. Timeplan is thus far:

May: Gather knowlegde and support (GO TEAM!) If no team can be gathered, then regroup
June: Figure out the setup. Full computer or tablet? Battery lifespan, wifi
July: test drive the BiasSphere and gather all non-tecnicle supplies (tent, pillows, signs, lights)

Moop plan (matter out of place)

The tent has no feathers, or other small or detachable objects. I will include anti MOOP in the daily check up.

All help on the project is wellcome. If this is to be taken to the next level, some programming skills will be needed.
But even without, just help develloping the idear, the setup, or help generating creative ideas for the decoration and the space.

    What is this?

Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
