Struggling to survive the sunny day after an intense night? Come into the chillbiosis, the darkest and coolest place during the day at Borderland. A chillout space inside a Hexayurt lets you feel like a tardigrade (https://tinyurl.com/mkgt75c) in heaven.
We want to build a chillout space within a hexayurt (http://hexayurt.com). We found a cheap source for B ware insulation panels and want to design a comfy space which does not insulate the floor (pulls heat and less strain on plants).
We do this project as a team consisting of the members of our camp
People involved: Luis PS; Chris Brms; Christine Romeijn, Anatol Ulrich, Marjo Gieles.
This time we are going with a tried and tested design. The inside will be designed to be a cool hang out space with a definie biological feel to it. Be either the beast, or be in the stomach of the beast...
Previous project of Retardigrades was the 2 cardboard domes at Nowhere: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1481399555210346&set=picfp.100000209475725.1328801217136848&type=3&theater
We might moop at construction. That's why we would like to prepare the panels etc. inside the pyramid on a tarp.
Our engineer came up with a complete shopping list, it is not big, so I give you the break down of the most expensive bits:
Materials for the hexayurt 3650 DKK
Shipping materials to Denmark 1250 DKK
Interior chill-space and decoration 1500 DKK.
Depending on the skills of the person, everybody interested in joining this project is welcome to. We might be able to use locally sourced materials for the decoration of the dome, so (more) local input would of course be welcome.
Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
