Who doesn't love UV glowing face paint and blacklights on a dancefloor? I want to bring a bunch of mirrors, a bunch of blacklights (and the electricity cables to power them) and a table stocked up with litres of UV face paint for people to trip out on
Pretty simple idea, we line a wall (or a corner) of the dancefloor (I'm thinking the barn) with a bunch of mirrors, and we set up black lights. We stock a table with UV paints and cotton buds to use as brushes, and we leave it to be used by whoever wants to paint themselves or each other. Let's get the dancefloor glowing.
Must provide bins for the plastic body paint bottles when empty, and the cotton buds.
At the moment it's just Nick, and the time plan is: collect mirrors from hard rubbish (now until BL), buy UV facepaint on ebay/wherever we can get bulk cheap paints (soon), buy blacklights, cables etc (any time before BL).
cotton buds and empty plastic body paint containers will be the main culprits. We'll provide a couple small bins, and trust borderlings to take care of it.
UV-lampa E27 15 W bulbs from Kjell&Co - 100 SEK x 5 = 500 SEK
Lamp socket + adaptor to use in wall plug approx 60 SEK x 5 = 300 SEK
UV face paint - as much as possible! minimum 1000 SEK worth - more is better
Any extra will go towards increasing the number of blacklights and face paint
Bring mirrors, blacklights, extension cords, UV body paints, UV nail polishes, etc, help me with the setup and the break down, check in to make sure the station is clean and nothing is broken. Take any trash (cotton buds, bottles etc) and recycle appropriately.
We also need to figure out a way to hang/secure the mirrors to the wall of the barn so they don't fall or break.
Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
