Walk in at one side, exit through the other as a new you! Fabulous Fantastic Transformation Station jr is a costume station and a face painting wonderland for the kids of Borderland. A place where future Borderlings can become whoever they want to be.
The base will be a tent structure, within that tent there will be tables for face painting, glitter and make up. Along the walls there will be racks and shelves and boxes with clothes, hats, costumes, scarves, silly glasses, shoes et cetera. There will also be at least two mirrors, and big rugs will cover the floor. A sign with The Fabulous Fantastic Transformation Station jr will be right outside the entrance.
Team of creative grownup kids and regular kids, it will be a co-creative artistic effort with the kids imagination as the foundation of the project.
Team will be co-creating parents and kids, a few: Rickard Henley, Emma Hanfot, Carolina Wallin, Yakup Albekoğlu, Roberta-Serena Blasone, Sandra Scelfo et al.
All will be encouraged to return the clothes they've used to the racks and shelves. Perhaps we will create a MOOP-song together. There will be a big bag of returnables, clothes that you are uncertain of where to put. The glitter will be degradable. LNT-team will be included in the project.
Most of the costs will go to the tent structure which will either be rented or bought and slightly rebuilt (depending on funds). Perhaps a few rugs will also be needed and some face paint. We are hoping that the costumes, hats et cetera will be gifted or borrowed from the community.
Through helping with the build up, bringing clothes, face paint and other stuff, preferrably in various children sizes, but everything counts! Also rugs will be needed to cover the floor. And if you are a magnificent face painter - come on aboard!
Congratulations! You've stumbled upon something special. Borderland is a participatory festival that takes place in Boesdal, Denmark. It's a fully participatory event where everything is created by the participants themselves, with out any spectators.
